Level & Repair Roads Without Shutting Down Lanes for Days

Highway Concrete Raising Illinois

Uneven concrete slabs on highways, service roads, or ramps create dangerous conditions for drivers and expensive wear on vehicles. At Raise-Rite, we use high-density polyurethane foam to lift sunken highway slabs quickly — with no tear-out, no major lane closures, and minimal traffic disruption. It’s fast, strong, and DOT-trusted.

Why Do Highways & Streets Sink or Shift?

Heavily traveled highways deal with constant dynamic loads from vehicles, weather exposure, and groundwater movement. Over time, the soil beneath road slabs can erode, settle, or lose strength — causing individual panels to drop or crack. This creates bumps, gaps, and misalignments that impact driver safety and road performance.

In addition to highways, we level bridge approaches, loading docks, municipal slabs, airport runways, and interior industrial floors. View our full list of commercial services to learn more.

What Are the Signs You Need Highway Slab Leveling?

Common signs of failing or settling highway panels include:

  • Visible bumps or dips in travel lanes

  • Cracks running across slab joints

  • Bridge approach transitions that feel rough

  • Expansion joint separation

  • Tire bounce or steering feedback at certain points

Our Fix: Quick, Clean Concrete Leveling with Foam

Concrete Raising Near Me

Step 1) Injection holes are strategically drilled around the areas where the concrete is sunken and requires lifting.

Step 2) Once everything is prepped, and the hose and material are in place, the polyurethane foam is injected through the holes. It expands to fill the space underneath the concrete slab, using the slab itself to drive the foam into the crevices, thereby lifting the concrete back to its original position.

Step 3) Once the concrete is stabilized and lifted to the proper position, the injection holes are filled with new cement, allowing you to use your surface immediately.

Polyurethane concrete raising uses a foam material that is injected under the slab. When the components of the material are mixed, a reaction causes the material to expand. This expanded foam fill any voids beneath the slab and raises the concrete. This material will never lose density, is permanent and weighs only about 2 pounds per cubic foot.
