Residential Concrete
Leveling in Illinois
If your driveway, sidewalk, patio, pool deck or basement floor is sinking or uneven — you’re not alone. Thousands of Illinois homeowners deal with uneven concrete. And that’s exactly why we’re here.
Raise-Rite Concrete Lifting has completed over 100,000 concrete lifting jobs since 1974. We’ve been helping families fix their sunken slabs for over 50 years — and we’re still going strong. Our team uses fast, clean polyurethane foam to raise concrete without tearing it out or making a mess. Most jobs are done in hours. You can walk or drive on it the same day.
Why Does Residential Concrete Sink?
In short: the soil moves. When the ground under your concrete shifts, settles, or washes out, your slabs lose support — and start to sink, crack, or tilt.
Here are a few common causes:
-
Water erosion from gutters, downspouts, or poor drainage
-
Freeze-thaw cycles that cause expansion and soil shifting
-
Poorly compacted fill dirt during home construction
-
Voids caused by burrowing animals or organic decay
Once the soil underneath your concrete gives out, the slab starts sinking. And if left untreated, it can create trip hazards, foundation stress, and drainage problems fast.

Our Fix: Quick, Clean Concrete Leveling with Foam

Step 1) Injection holes are strategically drilled around the areas where the concrete is sunken and requires lifting.

Step 2) Once everything is prepped, and the hose and material are in place, the polyurethane foam is injected through the holes. It expands to fill the space underneath the concrete slab, using the slab itself to drive the foam into the crevices, thereby lifting the concrete back to its original position.

Step 3) Once the concrete is stabilized and lifted to the proper position, the injection holes are filled with new cement, allowing you to use your surface immediately.
Polyurethane concrete raising uses a foam material that is injected under the slab. When the components of the material are mixed, a reaction causes the material to expand. This expanded foam fill any voids beneath the slab and raises the concrete. This material will never lose density, is permanent and weighs only about 2 pounds per cubic foot.

Pat Mucerino Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jay and Eddie did a wonderful job for us. Now my wife is able to walk down the front step without having an issue. After her knee surgery they listen to all of our concerns. They were on time. They had extremely good communication skills. They had good follow-up on details with the project. We are very pleased and happy that we selected raise rate. We couldn't have been more satisfied. If we could rate them in 10 we would Robert Allar Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent Service and job well done...repeat customer too Tom Tobin Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. this company is the BEST for concrete raising. My experience with them started in June 2024. they came out, did an estimate, scheduled the repair. Repair was done approximately June20 and it looked great. Unfortunately, the patio started to sink again 2 days later, probably due to chipmunk tunnels underneath. ( how could they know how much product would be needed due to this?) I contacted Raise-Rite and the came out approximately July 18th and corrected the problem. Their customer service was outstanding. I understood they could not come out earlier due to scheduling conflicts, which they explained to me. There was no additional charge for this. My patio has been even and stable the remainder of the summer and should stay that was for many years. If you need affordable concrete raising with great customer service, don't hesitate to call Raise-Rite Concrete Lifting. Raise Rite treated us right, were well priced, came out quickly, to fix our SERIOUSLY sinking & practically LOPSIDED cement one-car garage slab. It’s amazing what they can do nowdays with the foam jacking and I’m so happy with the result. Raise Rite didn’t have issue with our relatively small job, or that I’m located on the Northshore, which is some distance from their office operations. They came out on a drizzly day without complaint. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
