Fix Uneven Concrete Without Interrupting Class

Commercial Concrete Lifting and Leveling | Chicago Area

Sunken sidewalks, cracked entry pads, or tilted ramps are a serious liability on school property. At Raise-Rite, we level school concrete quickly using polyurethane foam — a clean and quiet process that requires no excavation. Whether it’s elementary schools, high schools, or campus walkways, we get it done fast with minimal disruption.

Why Does Concrete Sink on School Grounds?

Over time, the soil under sidewalks, slabs, and entry areas can settle due to water runoff, freeze-thaw cycles, or poor compaction. This causes the concrete to crack, tilt, or sink — putting students, teachers, and visitors at risk. Left untreated, these hazards can lead to injuries, drainage problems, or ADA compliance issues.

In addition to school campuses, we level concrete at churches, hospitals, municipal buildings, strip malls, and interior floors. See our full commercial service list for more.

What Are the Signs You Need Concrete Leveling at a School?

If you’ve seen any of these, it’s time to act:

  • Sidewalks or curbs creating trip hazards

  • Sinking entry pads or concrete ramps

  • Water collecting near foundations or exits

  • Uneven transitions between walkways and doors

  • Slabs pulling away from buildings or steps

Our Fix: Quick, Clean Concrete Leveling with Foam

Concrete Raising Near Me

Step 1) Injection holes are strategically drilled around the areas where the concrete is sunken and requires lifting.

Concrete Lifting Near Me

Step 2) Once everything is prepped, and the hose and material are in place, the polyurethane foam is injected through the holes. It expands to fill the space underneath the concrete slab, using the slab itself to drive the foam into the crevices, thereby lifting the concrete back to its original position.

Step 3) Once the concrete is stabilized and lifted to the proper position, the injection holes are filled with new cement, allowing you to use your surface immediately.

Polyurethane concrete raising uses a foam material that is injected under the slab. When the components of the material are mixed, a reaction causes the material to expand. This expanded foam fill any voids beneath the slab and raises the concrete. This material will never lose density, is permanent and weighs only about 2 pounds per cubic foot.
