Residential Concrete Leveling in Illinois
If your driveway, sidewalk, patio, or pool deck is sinking — you’re not alone. Thousands of Illinois homeowners deal with uneven concrete. And that’s exactly why we’re here.
Raise-Rite Concrete Lifting has completed over 100,000 concrete lifting jobs since 1974. We’ve been helping families fix their sunken slabs for over 50 years — and we’re still going strong. Our team uses fast, clean polyurethane foam to raise concrete without tearing it out or making a mess. Most jobs are done in hours. You can walk or drive on it the same day.
Why Does Residential Concrete Sink?
In short: the soil moves. When the ground under your concrete shifts, settles, or washes out, your slabs lose support — and start to sink, crack, or tilt.
Here are a few common causes:
Water erosion from gutters, downspouts, or poor drainage
Freeze-thaw cycles that cause expansion and soil shifting
Poorly compacted fill dirt during home construction
Voids caused by burrowing animals or organic decay
Once the soil underneath your concrete gives out, the slab starts sinking. And if left untreated, it can create trip hazards, foundation stress, and drainage problems fast.

Our Fix: Quick, Clean Concrete Leveling with Foam

Step 1) Injection holes are strategically drilled around the areas where the concrete is sunken and requires lifting.
Step 2) Once everything is prepped, and the hose and material are in place, the polyurethane foam is injected through the holes. It expands to fill the space underneath the concrete slab, using the slab itself to drive the foam into the crevices, thereby lifting the concrete back to its original position.
Step 3) Once the concrete is stabilized and lifted to the proper position, the injection holes are filled with new cement, allowing you to use your surface immediately.
Polyurethane concrete raising uses a foam material that is injected under the slab. When the components of the material are mixed, a reaction causes the material to expand. This expanded foam fill any voids beneath the slab and raises the concrete. This material will never lose density, is permanent and weighs only about 2 pounds per cubic foot.
