The Challenge
The project involved two important areas:

- Lift and support the south walkway, best as possible
- Fill voids beneath the affected concrete

Polyurethane lifting made it possible to work with the existing concrete rather than removing and replacing large sections of sidewalk.
By placing the material beneath the settled slabs, we could improve elevation while also restoring support underneath.
The Fix (3-Step Process)

Step 1: Drill
Small access holes were carefully placed in the affected sidewalk sections near the main entrance and along the south side of the building.

Step 2: Lift & Support
High-density polyurethane foam was injected beneath the concrete.
As the foam expanded, it filled empty spaces, supported weakened areas, and gradually lifted the slabs to improve alignment and drainage as much as existing conditions allowed.
Our team closely monitored each section during the lift to protect the concrete and surrounding entrance areas.

Step 3: Patch
After the sidewalk sections were raised and stabilized, the access holes were patched cleanly, leaving the walkways ready for use.
The Results
The completed project improved both safety and function around the office entrance.
The main walkway now provides:
- A more even path from the parking lot to the front door
- Improved drainage near the entrance
- Less standing water after rainfall
- Reduced trip hazards
- Better support beneath the concrete
The south walkway was also raised and stabilized, improving the walking surface and reducing the risk of additional movement.
